Richardson Bay Boatworks was founded in 1986 by Ross Sommer, a lifelong waterman who grew up on the bay and never wanted to be anywhere else. He set up shop on the Richardson Bay waterfront in Sausalito and built a reputation one boat at a time.
Today, his son carries on that same tradition — same dock, same values, same commitment to doing the job right the first time. We're not a franchise. We're not a corporation. We're your neighbors, and we'll treat your boat like it's ours.
